WTF Taekwondo and ITF Taekwondo

There is a great difference between ITF and WTF Taekwondo. WTF is more of an olympic sport where you learn more of the USA style Taekwondo. ITF Taekwondo is very traditional in their forms and sparring. They rarely have tournaments, but the forms are very nice. WTF Taekwondo has more tournaments and often does not rip off kids just for their money. My first tip is that if you are going to join a taekwondo dojang, you should probably research it so you do not get ripped off by the "master". Thank you for reading this post! Good unbiased post, I agree that you should check out the instructors credentials before joining anything because what I've learned is that really a TKD club is only as good as it's instructor, al will teach you patterns, form and kicks etc. but a good one should work on your fitness, self defence and theory too, these are all if not more important

I hate the fact that there are a lot of TKD McDojos, if you find a good genuine teacher then it's a very good all round art. If you go to Korea then you will see the true version of TKD

My dojo teaches both Olympic TKD and Traditional TKD with self defence applications, I really like both tbh
